studio momo is the home of my art work; floragraphy, kaua'i and etherea are my flower photograph portfolios.
by the time I was in high school, I was hooked on photography.
as my skills developed over the years, I found myself attracted to floral photography,
and I pushed my camera and lenses to get closer and closer, discovering new worlds and excitement in the process.
to my mind, flowers represent the qualities we humans wish to remember in ourselves:
• effortlessly beautiful
• loved at first sight
• endlessly complex
• elegantly simple
and all at the same time.
my subjects are everywhere:
in gardens and parks, yards, fields, mountainsides, roadsides and sometimes even indoors.
my hope is to share the beauty I have been allowed to see and fall in love with.
I do that with photographs, prepared with archival materials, framed, matted or unframed,
in a variety of sizes, in limited editions (the kaua'i and etherea portfolios) and in open editions (the floragraphy portfolio).
